Pleasant View Skilled Nursing & Rehab is a 96-bed skilled nursing facility located in southern Green County. Our mission is to provide compassionate nursing and rehab care that is affordable while ensuring respect, dignity, and purpose of life.
Since 1969, we’ve provided 24-hour rehabilitative, long-term, and dementia care. At Pleasant View, we are dedicated to providing quality nursing and rehabilitation that creates an atmosphere of comfort and healing. We do that by creating great places to live and sharing our love with all of our residents every day. Compassionate. Purposeful. Care. are at the core of all we do. Our staff members assist when you need it and empower your independence when you don’t.
The History of Pleasant View
Pleasant View has a rich history that extends back to the 1860s.
1861 Purchased 300 plus acres in Mount Pleasant became the home to the indigent, the elderly, and the mentally handicapped. The first Green County “barn-raising” was at the Pleasant View barn. Residents worked in the bakery, the laundry, the kitchen, and the farmstead barn. They canned vegetables, and made their own butter.
Fun Fact: The barn displays the first Green County barn quilt, Whirligig, which was painted by Pleasant View residents.
1969- Finish new construction of the present facility.
1973 – North wings were added.
Today Pleasant View is overseen by the Green County Board of Supervisors, the Pleasant View Oversight Committee and also receives the generous support of the Green County community through a valued reputation and Financial Resources.

Donations are always accepted at Pleasant View to help with special projects or donate to our endowment fund to help fund our residents at Pleasant View on a daily basis.
